A particularly rare Christian Dior by John Galliano Saddle Bag, showcasing one of the more rebellious and highly collectible interpretations of the iconic Dior saddle silhouette from the early 2000s. Crafted in deep black waxed leather, the bag is distinguished by an extensive arrangement of silver-tone rings, hooks, chains and signature hardware, giving the classic Saddle shape a distinctly punk, industrial character.
The sculptural flap is decorated with multiple exposed metal rings, while the front is finished with layered straps and hardware details. A Dior signature metal charm hangs from the front chain together with a distinctive star-shaped charm, creating a strong jewelry-like effect. The combination of oversized hardware, dangling chains and circular metal details is characteristic of the darker, more experimental side of John Galliano-era Dior.
The structured curved silhouette retains the recognizable DNA of the Saddle Bag, while the glossy waxed leather gives the piece a dramatic, almost lacquered finish. The detachable/adjustable leather handle and additional metal attachments allow it to be styled as a compact shoulder or hand-carried bag.
